People and Places is an organisation that is of particular interest to me because it is a trusted and respected name (which I first found out through Sallie Grayson's input in a Guardian article about the dangers of "voluntourism") and I am not interested at all in an indulgent or "colonial" scheme which is focused on its appeal to volunteers rather than the communities that such schemes should be set up to genuinely support.
